EQUILAE is recognized as an ISAKOS (International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine) and ESSKA (European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery & Arthroscopy) teaching center. Both organizations were created by groups of surgeons to promote exchanges and dissemination through education, research and patient care in the field of arthroscopy, knee surgery and orthopedic sports medicine. Additionally, it is also recognized as being the training center of the Spanish Arthroscopy Association.

Fellowship programs
Within this framework oriented toward promoting the exchange of knowledge, the unit has fellowship programs of varying duration which have also been endorsed by those previously cited organizations. These programs are aimed at resident doctors and specialists in orthopedics and traumatology that are interested in the aforementioned fields in order to convey knowledge, share experiences and generate cultural exchanges.
